Hot Fish Biryani |
Ingredients :
- Fish (Rohu or your choice) - 600gm
- Basmati rice - 2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
- Hot red chili powder -2 tea spoon
- Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon
- Ginger paste - 1 table spoon
- Garlic paste - 1 table spoon
- Onion - 2 medium(chopped)
- Cardamom - 10 pieces
- Cinnamon stick - 5/6 pieces
- Whole cloves - 5/6 pieces
- Oil
- Ghee
- Salt

Chicken Shawarma |
Ingredients:
- Pita Bread (if you cant find pita bread than you can use chapati or lavasa (the white roti)
- Lemon Juice
- Olive Oil
- Chilli Powder
- Chicken
- Salt
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Coriander Leaves
- Yoghurt/Curd
- Oil
Method :
- Cut chicken into thin slices. Add little olive oil, little lemon juice, salt and if you want it to be spicy you can add chilli powder. Marinate them for 2 hours.
- To make sauce, put garlic paste, lemon juice(little), yoghurt/curd, salt to taste in a bowl. Mix these ingredients and there comes the yummy Shawarma sauce.

Method:
- Mix all the dry ingredients together: besan, corn starch, black pepper, cumin seeds, asafetida, and salt. Corn starch adds to the crispness.
- Add the water slowly to make a smooth batter (batter should be thin consistency).

Ingredients:
- 4 slices of firm white bread
- 1 cup gram flou 1 tablespoon rice flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of asafetida
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 finely chopped green chilies
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup & 2 tablespoons of water
- Oil to fry

Asparagus With Ginger |
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of asparagus, approx. 1 pound
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed (jeera)
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Method:
- Holding the stalk at both ends, bend gently until it breaks on its own. Discard the hard portion of the stalk.
- Cut the remaining asparagus spears diagonally into 2 inch pieces.
- Bring oil to medium heat in a large frying pan that can hold all the asparagus.
- Add cumin seeds and wait till they crack. Then add asparagus, ginger, lemon juice, salt and black pepper.
- Stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes until asparagus are tender but still crunch.
- Serve hot or at room temperature.

Plain Rice |
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati rice or long grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oil
Method:
- Wash rice gently changing water several times until the water appears clear.
- For fluffier rice, the rice should be soaked for at least 15 minutes prior to cooking.
- Cooked rice expands to about 3 times its original size, so be sure to use the proper size pan.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Approx.1/2 cup water lukewarm
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour to help rolling
- Approx. 2 tablespoons oil for cooking
Method:
- In a bowl mix the flour, salt, and oil. First add about 1/3 cup of water to make dough add remaining water as needed to make smooth and pliable dough. Knead the dough on a lightly greased surface.
