Jilapi

Jilapi
Ingredients:
  • Fine flour 250 gm
  • Rongalite (rang kaat) one pinch
  • Yellow food color one pinch
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Clarified oil for frying
  • Silver leaf as desired
  • Almonds 50 gm (chopped)
For Sugar Syrup:
  • Sugar 1 kg
  • Water 1/2 kg
  • Green cardamoms 4
Method:
  1. In a bowl add fine flour, rongalite, baking powder, and yellow food color.
  2. Mix it properly and set aside for half an hour.
  3. Then in a skillet add sugar, water and green cardamoms, cook to prepare sugar syrup.
  4. After this put fine flour mixture in a piping bag and start making circle shape jalebi in hot clarified oil.
  5. When it is fried take it out and keep in the sugar syrup for 20 minutes.
  6. In the end garnished with silver leafs and almonds.
